To enhance communication with the community in a proactive way, the Airport Authority (AA) set up five Community Liaison Groups (CLGs) in 2012 in the neighbouring districts of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), namely: Islands, Kwai Tsing, Sha Tin, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Mun. The CLGs have a total of about 150 members which include district councillors and community leaders. The AA leverages on the CLGs to exchange views with the community on the latest airport developments, hence enhancing airport services and contribute to the betterment of these districts. In addition, the CLGs are also platforms for the AA to update the community leaders and listen to their views on various topics related to HKIA and the three-runway system project, including the environmental issues.
